2020 has been quite a year for all of us. The gaming industry took a big hit many of the other creators in the entertainment sphere did as well. But despite all this, the gaming industry has pulled through and we have several awesome zombie gaming titles to look forward to. Although there are several games that share an apocalyptic theme, like “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine”, or “Resident Evil Village”, these aren’t really zombie games. Infected by a zombie bite, Anling’s days are numbered. She must now fight to survive, not for herself but her young son, Cody. This interesting take on a zombie survival game, makes for a mix of emotions and tough choices. In her last days, she will have to teach her child the needed skills to survive before she becomes a zombie. Set in a world made of unique artwork, this little zombie gem is definitely worth keeping an eye out for.

Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2

Continuing 15 years after the first game, in a world now fully infected and plunged back into the dark ages, you once again set out to parcours your way through the zombie infested world. By the material we’re seeing, this game will be roughly the same as the first, but just better. The game promises a choice based approach, the choices you make affect how the game develops and what areas of the city you unlock. The infection has also progressed, making zombies more sensitive to light. Creating a world almost like “I am Legend”, where the undead in this case, hide in the shadows of buildings and roam the streets freely at night.

Back 4 Blood

Back 4 Blood

Form the creators of the Left 4 Dead franchise, we get Back 4 Blood. Looking at the game trailer, this promises to basically be a remake of Left 4 Dead, but with upgraded graphics, more gore, more guns and cooler environments. The trailer starts in a safehouse, similar to Left 4 Dead. It also seems to feature all sorts of special zombies, like jumpers, chargers and boss like zombies. Not to mention the four survivors and their call-out like communication while clearing the zombie hordes. Being a long time player and fan of the Left 4 Dead franchise, and still playing to this day. I am very thrilled to see what is basically “Left 4 Dead 3” come out, but under a different name.
