*WARNING: This article contains spoilers! Readers discretion is advised!* Tonights Episode: Walk With Us Ends In Bloodshed

We start right at the end of last week’s episode. The fence around Hilltop, as well as, the homes are collapsing into ash. The citizens are scrambling fighting both fire and walkers. King Ezekiel starts to leave with the children. Unfortunately, Judith has wandered off to join the battle. She realizes she is emotionally unready for this sort of combat when she kills a Whisperer she thought was a walker. Earl finds her and takes her to the safe house. Eugene runs away from the battle in an attempt to save the radio equipment. Rosita tries to go after him. The Hilltop citizens begin to see the silver lining as they killed enough walkers to form a makeshift barrier blocking the rest of the horde. This is however short-lived as more pieces of fence fall as a result of the fire. As Yumiko is killing the walkers she stops in shock as Magna, who is alive, hiding among the horde. We then cut to the theme song.

When we return the battle is over and it is morning out. The Whisperers have emerged from the forest to kill the wounded to make them walkers for the herd. Negan didn’t get this message and kills a wounded whisperer with a blow to the head with his precious Lucille. He gets scolded by Alpha for this since she is trying to replenish her horde with the Hilltop people. Beta tells her that he is unable to find Lydia among the dead. He then tells Negan to go out to collect the walkers within the forest. Instead of herding the walkers like he is supposed to, he decides to use them for batting practice. While calling over some walkers he sees Lydia limping into the forest. He goes after her. Instead of finding Lydia, he finds a very angry Aaron dragging a gurney holding Luke. He tries to plead with Aaron, but he is not having it. The confrontation is cut short as Aaron becomes overwhelmed with walkers. Negan flees instead of helping him. Negan snatches Lydia, disarming her in the process. We then see Alden holding Adam, Kelly, and Mary. Alden is trying to console Adam with what Kelly calls his creepy baby voice. Mary steps forward offering to help comfort, Adam. Alden doesn’t want her help and demands she steps back. She tries again with Kelly’s help, but Alden refuses to budge on the issue. Mary does as Adam says. She then shouts out her suggestion, regardless of Alden’s protests. He tries to no avail. Realizing the are out of options he hands the baby to Mary. They decide to stop to rest at this point. Mary tells them during this brief time that the baby’s mother was Frances. Mary then tells them to run because the walkers are near. They quickly get swarmed by them shortly after her saying this. While running Kelly finds a van. She and Alden jump in. Mary refuses, handing the baby to Alden, then shutting the door on the others. She screams to lure the walkers away from the fans. Shortly after killing them all Beta stabs her in the stomach. While she is dying she rips off half his mask as he finishes her off. As he waits for her to turn one of the Whisperers recognizes him as soon from the past. Before he says anything more Beta kills him. Beta continues to wait for Mary to turn so he can bring her back to Alpha as part of the new horde. Just as she fully turns Alden kills her. Beta unsure where the arrow came from, runs off.

Meanwhile, Carol is with Eugene who is upset over the destruction of his radio. Magna is telling Yumiko how she and Connie got out of the cave. Sadly, the two got separated in the horde and she is unsure about Connie’s fate. Yumiko demands Carol apologize to Magna for putting her through such an ordeal. Carol refuses, saying it won’t fix anything. Yumiko becomes angry and punches Carol. Carol does nothing but walks off. Magna tries to calm Yumiko down. The two begin laughing as they have made their peace with each other. Eugene leaves to go check on Carol. Carol asks him if he ever wanted something so bad that it hurt everyone you love. Eugene sympathizes with her pain. He then tells her about his date with Stephanie. He is upset because now he has to cancel on her because of the fall of Hilltop. Carol tells him to go to her. Eugene wishes her the best for her endeavors and walks away. Carol goes to join him but finds Lydia’s discarded weapon.

We cut to Daryl, Rosita, Jerry, Nabila, and some other Hilltop people walking through an open field to the rendezvous spot. Rosita asks Daryl if he is sure King Ezekiel has the kids since Nebila was asking. Daryl reassures her that they are at the rendezvous location already. They arrive as a walker stumbles out the front door. Dianne kills the walker as Daryl runs inside. The house is empty. Nabila begins to cry out for her children. Jerry does the best he can to comfort her. He, Daryl, and the others fan out to find the missing children. As they do that we see they are in hiding with Earl. Judith asks if King Ezekiel is going to be okay since they lost him in the smoke. Earl has the kids stay in one room as he watches the front door. Instead of doing this he drives a blacksmith’s spike through the panels on a table, revealing a bite on his arm. A bite that Judith sees. He admits to her that he lied about his health for the safety of the children. He puts Judith in charge of the children and sends her from the room so he can die in peace. As soon as she leaves, he bangs his head on the spike, dying instantly. She goes to check on him a few minutes later to see if he was successful, he was not. Walker Earl grabs Judith’s arm. Back at Hilltop, Jerry and Daryl find King Ezekiel hiding underneath a piece of fallen fence. He tells them that Earl is with the children. The three run off to continue there search. They arrive just in time to find Judith has killed Earl to save the children. Daryl comforts Judith in silence.

At the Whisperer camp, Negan tells Alpha that he has captured Lydia. She is tied up to a chair in what appears to be a shed. Along the way to the shed, Alpha is romanticizing the walkers to Negan. She informs Negan that he has earned his place to be a leader among the Whisperers. Possibly replacing Beta. Negan tells her about his wife and calls out Alpha on her hypocritical BS. Meanwhile, Lydia begins to panicking trying to break free from the chair. She is successful and runs out. In a shocking twist, we see Lydia is not in the shed Negan is taking Alpha too. Alpha opens the empty shed. She turns to Negan who cuts her throat. Negan holds her as she bleeds to death in his arms. Once dead he decapitates her, putting her head in a bag. He then takes it out and rolls it to a smirking Carol. So, what does this mean for the Whisperers? Who, if anybody, will become their new leader? Is Connie Okay? How will Alden handle Earl’s death? Hopefully, we get our answers next week.
