1.) 9mm Pistol
9mm is the most popular pistol caliber worldwide. Military and police in many countries carry pistols chambered in 9mm. A good reliable sidearm is the place to start, because during the Zombie Apocalypse, Zombies aren’t the only ones you need to worry about.
2.) .22LR Semi-auto Rifle
A removable magazine fed .22LR is going to save your ass. When you have a zombie getting close to you, you will need the capability of reloading your weapon quickly. The 22lr caliber is a great zombie weapon. The recoil is minimal, the size of the ammunition makes it so you can carry a ton of it. It’s strong enough to penetrate the skull but will not make it out on the other side.
3.) Centerfire Rifle
This will be your main battle rifle. During a zombie apocalypse the living can be just as dangerous as the dead. Never get tunnel vision.
4.) Machete
Some people go for the flashy, sexy Katana. This is a mistake, unless you’ve gotten training on how to properly use a katana. You will more than likely ruin that sword. The machete is meant for hacking and is built to take punishment and keep on cutting. Anyone can use this blade with no problem.
5.) Fixed Blade Knife
This is your last line of defense, when they get too close for comfort and you have to get your hands dirty, make sure you have a quality fixed blade knife. This can mean the difference between life and death.
Honorable Mention
Pump Action 12 Gauge Shotgun
I hate hearing that you don’t have to aim a shotgun. I have pulled the trigger of a 12 gauge and I can tell you it is very possible to miss with a shotgun. The shotgun is a good weapon in the vain that outside of fending off undead attackers you can hunt with it and defend yourself.
