Face masks have become a hot topic today. The N95 mask is designed to help those who have direct contact with the virus to prevent them from catching it. Meaning healthcare workers and other essential employees should be using them. But, the CDC is asking the general public to stop buying them as this is causing a shortage for these workgroups. Instead, they recommend we make our own face coverings of some kind. They have recently begun encouraging the general public to make there own face coverings instead of purchasing N95 masks. Homemade masks are not a replacement for stay-at-home-orders that are currently in effect. If your area is under one then we strongly ask you to keep following it as best as you can. Even though homemade masks provide very, very little protection, it’s better than nothing at all. Below is a video I found most helpful at teaching me various ways to make your own masks at home.

She was also featured in Encounter magazine for the volunteer work she did for the United States troops. In 2010 she won Resident of the Year in a local newspaper titled The South Hills Messanger. Today, she spends her time increasing her knowledge on disaster preparedness while working on her Ph. D. in Paranormal Studies.
